Construction Site Accidents
Construction site accidents occur in a variety of ways, including:

Construction site maintenance: Failing to maintain the construction site in a safe manner, or conversely, maintaining the construction site in an unsafe and dangerous condition.

Failure to warn: Failing to properly warn pedestrians or visitors of potential hazards, such as holes, hardhats, falling debris, hidden or hard to see obstacles, or unsafe floors

Falling debris: Construction workers dropping tools, or other things, from a high place, which strike another worker, visitor, or passerby

Equipment negligence: Employees operating heavy equipment in a negligent manner, resulting in a bulldozer accident, crane accident, truck accident, forklift accident, or other machinery accident

Defective equipment: Defective or dangerous equipment such as a forklift, bulldozer, crane or other machinery can cause an accident or a severe injury such as loss of a limb/amputation

Construction site falls: Scaffolding is negligently constructed causing the scaffolding to collapse; a construction worker falls from a roof, ladder, or scaffolding resulting in a head, neck or back injury, spinal cord injury, broken bones, or wrongful death.

While most workers who are injured in a construction accident are entitled to workers compensation for lost wages and medical expenses, many other workers are also entitled to compensation through a personal injury claim. Although personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits may not be filed against an employer, there are often other parties who may have contributed to the accident, such as an independent subcontractor company, a product manufacturer, or other liable parties.

If you or a loved one has been involved in a serious construction site accident, please contact our office at (817) 645-5400 or forward your information by email to receive a response from an associate in our office.
